Social Action Day

Join us for a day of Social Action in Washington, DC and beyond! On Saturday, January 21, 2023 the Stone Ridge community will unite for our Centennial Social Action Day.



Volunteers must adhere to the vaccination, masking and dress code requirements of each service site.

Volunteers are the Capital Area Food Bank's most important resources! Join us to sort and pack food and make a positive difference in someone's life.


We Are Family

After picking up groceries from We Are Family, volunteers will deliver grocieries to seniors living in the North Capitol and Shaw neighborhoods in DC.

Interfaith Works

Volunteers will assist the clothing center staff with sorting donations and stocking the shopping areas with donated goods. If needed, volunteers may be asked to help with the food pantry.

Each day a person volunteers at A Wider Circle translates into more families having the opportunity to create stability and independence. Volunteers will sort and pack donated items for families.


Greater DC Diaper Bank

Join us for a morning at the Greater DC Diaper Bank warehouse!  Volunteers will help sort and pack diapers, work on inventory, and organize formula and baby food donations.  Volunteering is family friendly and all are welcome.  Even little hands can help or just play in the play area.

Founded by Corinne Cannon '96, the Greater DC Diaper Bank works to provide a reliable supply of diapers to babies, toddlers, and their families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Help the Bowery Mission chefs serve breakfast to guests at our Bowery location. Tasks may also include limited meal prep, clearing tables, and washing dishes.

Nourishing Hope—Food Packing

Volunteers at Nourishing Hope will pack bags with food and load cars with deliveries. Volunteers will need to be able to lift and move boxes throughout the shift.

Alumnae Coordinator: Eileen Emerson Boles '90
St. Anthony's Free Clothing Program goal is to distribute high quality clothing to low-income families and individuals, including those who are experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will sort, fold, and hang donations as well as assisting as personal shoppers for guests. Volunteers may also create emergency clothing and hygiene item kits. Volunteers are welcome to bring clothing they wish to donate.
